You can send us the photos and or artwork to assemble the project. There will be additional pricing for these services.

Can you create artwork for my project?
If you need us to create artwork for your project that can usually be handled by our staff after discussing your needs. There will be additional pricing for this service.

Can I use special colors for my publication?
You can use custom colors or inks to complete your project, this process requires additional time and additional costs to utilize this option

How do I see a proof to make corrections?
The proofing process is over your internet connection. There are additional proofing options that could be done as well, the other proofing options are additional costs.

You offer mailing. What form does my mailing list need to be in for your use?
If you desire EDU printers to mail your project, we will need a ASCII approved list that is in a database such as Excel and or Access. Should you have an additional or different database please call us prior to submitting for mailing.

Can I use "Spot Color" on my publications?
You can use spot color on your publication. The use of spot color
requires additional services and additional costs to complete the project. Please call us prior to completing files in a spot color.

Can I see samples of your work?
We can send you samples of our work upon request and confirmation of your address.

What computer program should I use to prepare my publications?
The programs that are supplied by your ESD are normally compatible with ours.
Your files should be either AdobePagemaker or Quark XPress. Should you have another program please call us prior to assembling your files.

Can I send you my files via email?
You can send your files via email to Production@EDUPrinters.com after a discussion with our staff.

Can I get my photos and files back once my project is printed?
EDU Printers will return all your files to you once the project is completed. We will keep an electronic version of your files for archival purposes only. Should you need to retrieve this file there is an additional fee for retrieval. Please call the staff for further pricing.

What will it cost to mail my publication?
The cost to mail your project will depend on many items. Please call our offices for a complete cost breakout of your mailing fees. There are a number of different mailing methods that are available to you for additional services.

What is a Bleed?
A Bleed is an image area that runs off the trimmed edge of a page.

What is a Tint Block?
A Tint Block outlines an “Area” of a page using a lightly screened ink color to highlight this “Area” or block of color.

What is a Crossover?
A Crossover is when an image area literally runs from one page to the next by crossing a fold or the spine of your publication.

What is Four Color Process or Process Color?
The Process Colors are: Black, Magenta, Cyan, and Yellow. Four Color Process combines tiny dots of these colors to replicate all colors.

What is a Soft Proof?
This is a method of beginning the proofing process on-line. A
digital proof can be sent via e-mail for everyone’s convenience. You can pass this proof to as many approval sites as your project requires before we incur the cost of material production.


What is a Halftone?
A halftone is an image (such as a photo) converted to a series of dots for printing.


What is Offset paper?
This is a book weight paper designed to perform well in the offset printing process.


What is Offset Opaque?
This is an offset paper with added fiber to increase density to diminish “show through” of inks on paper.
